Willie Bodrick, II, J.D., M. and human development at the international level. Born and raised in Atlanta, Willie was inspired by the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the history of the Civil Rights Movement; he is committed to continuing the legacy of creating a beloved community and balancing the scales of justice. Willie holds a B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School. In 2020, Willie graduated from Northeastern University School of Law receiving a J.D. degree. In May 2022, Willie received an honorary Doctorate of Community Service from Northeastern University.

Prior to joining TACC, Willie worked at Brown Rudnick, LLP, and Senior Advisor for the successful 2020 Ed Markey Campaign for the U.S. Senate, and as the Outreach Coordinator in the Community Engagement Division of the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General, Maura Healey.

Concurrently, Willie serves as the Senior Pastor of the Historic Twelfth Baptist Church (TBC) and is an outspoken advocate for social and economic justice. At TBC, Willie successfully led the 182-year-old church through profound challenges created by the pandemic, partnering with Boston Medical Center to establish a vaccination clinic at TBC that vaccinated 2,500 people and leading efforts to feed over 15,000 residents in 2021 through the food pantry and special programming.

Actively engaged in the community of Roxbury, City of Boston, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Willie holds multiple leadership positions including President of the Boston Network for Black Student Achievement, member of the Boston Public Schools Opportunity and Achievement Gap Taskforce, Board of Directors of Massachusetts Advocates for Children, member of the Boston Medical Center Accelerator Community Advisory Committee, Co-Founder of the Forward Fund, The Boston Foundation’s Harvard and the Legacy of Slavery Advisory Committee, and Board of Advisors of the Roxbury YMCA.

A resident of Roxbury, Willie lives in the neighborhood with his wife, Dr. Devin Cromartie Bodrick, and son, Willie Bodrick, III.

the field of design; the program was endowed through a major gift from the estate of the painter Jacob Lawrence. At Parsons, Charlotte also served on the faculty and held a series of leadership positions, most recently serving as the Director of the Office of Summer, Pre-Enrollment, and Special Programs and other Open Campus initiatives. After leaving Parsons, Charlotte founded her own firm consulting universities and nonprofit organizations to enhance programs and develop grants that address equity and access and facilitate growth and revenue; she holds particular expertise in summer and out-of-school programs, pre-professional training, and pathways to careers.

Charlotte holds an undergraduate degree in Architecture from Columbia University and a graduate degree in Urban Education Policy from the City University of New York Graduate Center. Her research interests include the development of career pathways in formal and informal educational settings.

During Carole’s 12 years at the Boston Redevelopment Authority, she managed the CreateBoston program focused on economic development for Boston’s creative industries and oversaw the 2007 and 2011 PoweredUp Boston conferences to raise Boston’s profile in the videogame industry through business and workforce development. Previously, she worked for the City of Boston in the Chief of Staff’s office and Inspectional Services Department, as well as the Norfolk District Office of Child Support Enforcement. Carole holds a bachelor’s degree in English from University of Massachusetts Boston and was a fellow at The Partnership, Inc.

Laila is a Roxbury resident and recent graduate of Wellesley College and Boston Latin School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with minors in Sociology and Sustainability. During Laila’s time at Wellesley, she worked to build a welcoming community for Black and Brown students within the green spaces on campus…. More


In 2022, she was recognized for this work with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Prize. She also supported the community through her role on the e-board of the Muslim Student Union. Both positions prepared her to think creatively about dynamic ways to engage her Roxbury community and connect them with Boston’s breadth of blue and green opportunities. Laila currently serves as a youth member on the board of Masjid Al-Qu’ran.
