THE AMERICAN CITY COALITION

About The American City Coalition (TACC):

TACC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Roxbury’s Nubian Square tackling community-identified barriers through economic and workforce development, research, and policy strategies that expand pathways to meaningful opportunities in communities of color.

TACC runs three long-term equity initiatives (Savor the Square, Waterways, Roxbury Worx).

About Roxbury Worx:

Launched by TACC in 2022, Roxbury Work is a workforce development program that connects Roxbury residents, especially hidden and middle-skills workers, to high-road jobs in growing sectors like life sciences, healthcare, and green/blue tech. Roxbury Worx brings together a coalition of 18 Roxbury-serving organizations. Working together, this team represents a broader talent ecosystem (organizations in the same geographic area working toward the same goal; inclusive of public and private educational institutions, community-based nonprofits, and private industry), creating a healthy partnership between the community, educational institutions, industry, and training and apprenticeship programs to effectively and collectively define the problem and execute the project and solutions.
