In an earlier post, TACC extended our congratulation to our Founder and Board Chair, Joseph E. Corcoran, on the launch of the new Joseph E. Corcoran Center for Real Estate and Urban Action at Boston College.

TACC is pleased to share the news that Neil McCullagh was appointed the inaugural Director of the Corcoran Center in the Carroll School of Management at Boston College; he will continue to serve as the Executive Director of TACC.

At the Corcoran Center, there is an exciting opportunity to bring the emerging field of multi-sector neighborhood revitalization that is at the core of TACC’s approach to outstanding students and faculty. At Boston College, Neil will support critical dialogue on the field and new courses that demonstrate the positive transformational power of thoughtful real estate development which partners closely with communities.

TACC will help to support an early effort to directly engage students in local neighborhood revitalization efforts will take place this summer through an expanded internship program. This summer, twenty students will gain hands-on experiences through twelve-week internships with vital community organizations in Boston’s Roxbury neighborhood.

Congratulation to Neil on this new position; TACC is committed to working in neighborhoods with the highest concentrations of poverty, and to serving multiple organizations in the same geography to promote and accelerate positive social change. We know that your expanded leadership the Corcoran Center will have a positive impact on our organization and the neighborhoods we serve.
